"Saun Diago" AKA "San Diego"

A few weeks ago we got to go down with the Child's family (my in laws) and spend an awesome weekend on the beautiful beach in San Diego! They got a breathtaking time-share with giant windows that opened right up to the beach. It was such a nice break from the hot weather to hear the sound of the ocean and feel the "freezing" breeze. :)

This post will mostly be a photo dump with a few captions. We had too much fun to explain the whole weekend but lets just say I did a lot of relaxing while my sweet mother in law watched the boys. She calls it "having a good time" and I call it "babysitting," but I have no complaints. :)

Here is the view of our little time share where we stayed!

Standing on the pier. It was SO windy.

Warren...sleeping as usual. :)

Sadly...our best family pic in a long time. Can't see my face, Warren is asleep and what is Rett looking at? Well...it was as close to perfect as we get around here. :)

The view from our sliding glass doors:

The brave warrior boarders. I was too scared/cold to actually get IN the water. :)

Into the deep...

One does not simply walk into Mordor...

Rett doing what he does best: watching a movie on mom's iPad.

Got to see our dear cousins! What a reunion!

For some reason he makes that face in a lot of pictures...

Two of my men:

Surprisingly, Everett spent most of his time chasing the incoming waves in the ocean. Although he did like to play with his new sand toys Grammy Annie got for him and Warren.

It took all my strength and momentum to lift this fatty. :) He loves doing this at home! Its even better at the beach!

We had to get Warren some warmer clothes when we got there. We didn't expect "June Gloom" to be so darn cold for a five month old. I love his face in this one. He genuinely looks like old man meets gangster meets homeless man. Love my baby boy. :)

Ready to face the cold beach again!

A little bit of real life.

This is where Warren stayed most of the trip: bundled up in Grandma's arms.

Everett would cry every time we made him take a break from chasing the waves but he would cry more when we tried to make him go by himself. So we all took turns taking him. We would run toward the receding water and then turn and scream as we ran back, hand and hand, as the water came up around our ankles...well...knees if you are Everett. :)

Poor kid fell in the water first time out and got soaking wet (and it was cold and windy out) so I made him wear Brian's swim shirt to stay warm.

Quality uncle Brent time. Ps. Brent got a sunburned leg because he wasn't paying attention since he was SO busy holding warren. :)

Like the nice shiner on his forehead? Right as we were get in the car to drive to California I popped him in the head with the car door on accident. Oops. :( I didn't know he was standing right in front of me when I opened it. ha ha. I'm such a good mom.

Our set up...SWEET!

Bubbles, Bath, Boys. A Baby Alliteration.

I love when the boys bathe together, especially when Warren pees in the water and Everett tries to drink it. :)

A finished room...almost

Now that we have lived in our little house in Queen Creek for a good four months, I finally got the boys room done. Well...almost. I wanted to put a giant white rug I am working on in there since the last renter had cats and our carpet is full of stains, but it will be a while until I get it done. :) Here are some pics of their room for all of you who are just dying to see where my boys sleep. Creepers. :)

I never thought I would see my nursery have two cribs in it. :)

Rett's crib...obviously. I spy a naked toddler.

Don't mind the partly open drawer. While I was taking pics, Rett thought it would be fun to get into his stuffed animals and I didn't bother shutting it. :)

Easter 2012

Since the boys aren't really old enough to know what the Easter bunny is we didn't do the "traditional" Easter. But we did get Everett and Warren a sweet basketball hoop off of craigslist, dressed them in Easter sweaters and went to church to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, so thats all that matters. :)

After church we went to my sisters house for a fun pot luck Easter dinner and my mom even brought little Easter gifts for all the families. We had a blast! Here are just a few fun pics we took: *Love the morning hair.

Everett's first basket!

Warren making a face cause he has to sit in the sun while we watch Rett play ball.

Rett in his Easter sunday garb.

Warren in his! Yes...I make my boys wear pink. They have to since I don't have a girl. :)

Just another lamp

Well I haven't crafted as much as I used to when I only had one kid but I still had time for a little somethin' somethin'. My mom gave me two of her old lamps since our house doesn't have any ceiling lights in it, we needed lots more lamps! Since they weren't really my style I tried to transform one of them. Here is the before pic:

And here is the after:

All I did was sprayed the base silver and did a little hot glueing of fabric. I know...Im pretty fancy. Not. Hopefully I can do something else cool with my other lamp. :)

Warren's Baby Blessing

As most of you know, Warren was blessed quite a while ago and as all of you know, I am horrible at blogging. So it took me long enough but here are the pics from the big day. :) All pictures are courtesy of my dear sister-in-law Jen. :) Here is Rett snuggling with uncle Jeff. He needed a little extra attention. *Please note emily in the background.

And here is Everett waiting for Warren to be ready for church so we could leave.

Warren getting dressed by lots of helping hands. Poor thing was so patient. We dressed and undressed him quite a few times because we kept changing our minds about his undershirt.

Here is a family pic...I think this is the most updated one we have...?

Our little family.

I thought this would make a cute picture but my head is way too big and totally blocked Brian. :)

And lastly, here is Rett kissing Warren. Ever since we brought him home from the hospital he has gotten lots of loves from his brother...except when he is kicking him or throwing some hard object at his head. :) I guess its for the best that we documented this at an early age.

*Don't mind the wooden spoon in his hand. He was using it to dig in the dirt after church.

Helping Uncle Scott

I came into our guest bedroom to find Everett "helping" uncle Scott with his suit case. How nice. :) Do you love these Utah boys and their Utah outfits?

A General Conference Miracle

As you all know we got the chance to watch General Conference this weekend and we had the blessing of having Brian's family down for a little visit. :) As always they came bearing gifts. We all got spoiled but Everetts favorite things were his new Buzz Lightyear toy from Grandma Annie and his new Radio Flyer from Great Grandpa Childs! Here are the boys putting it together.

When they finally got it put together Everett really wanted to ride it without putting Buzz down.

Then he wanted Buzz to ride it. :)

Rett doesn't get how to pedal it yet but Everett loves his new trike. Thanks Child's family!

Breakfast in...the play kitchen

Doesn't this breakfast look so yummy?!

Since my neice Rae got a cute little play kitchen but didn't have any play food I decided to do a little project and make her some felt food. Here is just a little somethin I came up with. :)
